Impact drivers are used for lots of different jobs, but mechanics are usually the main people to use them. The main thing an Impact driver can do is loosen larger bolts, screws, and nuts that are hard to loosen or “frozen”. Impact drivers are pervasive and are very popular. If you have an old impact driver, there’s never been a better time to sell than now. Take it into Xtreme Pawn Shop today to get some quick and easy fast cash.

Worried that you won’t get a fair price for your impact driver? No need to be stressed, Xtreme Pawnshop does their best to give you the best possible price and value for your item. Contact us today! Here are a few things that will determine the amount of your impact driver.

Brand

Brands like Milwaukee, Dewalt, Makita, Hilti-Sid, Rigid, Ryobi, and many others are hot in the power tool industry. If you have one of these brands, you will most likely get a better offer than of other impact driver tool brands. The price will sometimes range greatly depending on if you are going to sell your driver with a set or alone. Depending on the brand, you can get anywhere from $19 to $78. Milwaukee and DeWalt tools will usually be worth more, while Ryobi brands tend to sell on at a lower price.

Condition

Even if you have the best brand and set, it’s not worth much if it doesn’t work. Things like cracks, breaks, and scratches could make your impact driver worth less cash. Try to give your power tool a gentle scrub and clean before you come into the shop so that your devices are easier to inspect and look nicer.

Size

Not all impact drivers are power tools; manual impact drivers are also used often. More significant power tool impact drivers are going to be worth more than a smaller manual ones.

Do Research

If you are going to be going into a Pawnshop, it’s best to have an idea of what you want to sell your driver for. To do this, you will need to do some research. But don’t worry, it’s a lot easier than you think.

There are two places that you will need to look to have an idea of what you think your impact driver is worth. The two places are eBay and Amazon. With these sites, you will look up what the impact driver you have is worth as new and old.

You will use Amazon to see what your impact driver is worth as new. Then you will use eBay to understand what your impact driver is worth old. Make sure to filter out the brand, size, and make of the driver you have to make sure they are close to the same type.

Here is an example…

In the picture above, you will see a Milwaukee 2853-20 M18 Fuel ¼” Hex Impact Driver (Bare Tool). When this tool is sold new, it is worth $99.89. It won’t sell for more than 70% of that usually. But to make sure, let’s check eBay.

When you get into eBay, you will want to make sure and type the closest match to the tool you have. There will also be an option on the left side that says “Buying Format” you will want to click on the bubble next to the buy it now; that way, you filter out any auction prices.

When you click on this box and the other filtered boxes that match your search, you will get a few results. Here we see that I got a few good results, but I know that when I bring the impact driver into a pawn shop, they will likely be doing the same research as me.

Plus, they will only make a profit off of the future sale of this product, so they will most likely offer something lower than $48, knowing that most people won’t pay much more than that for an old power tool. Before they provide a price, make sure to say an amount that is a little higher than what you are willing to trade with. That way, when you negotiate, they will most likely agree on a smaller price but one that is still worth it in the end.
