There is a different style and type of jewelry for every person based on their personality and preference, but did you know that certain types of jewelry can make a bold statement to the people around you and even show them what type of person you are. If you are interested in buying jewelry at a more affordable price, Sportsman's Pawnshop is for you. Our pawnshop has tons of jewelry items in a variety of styles, so come find the ones that are right for you. But for now, here’s the top five things to consider before you buy jewelry

1. Match your jewelry with your style

Yes, this seems obvious but it can actually be hard to do if you are not used to wearing jewelry very often. Did you know that some outfits will look more unique with gold rather than silver and the other way around? It’s good to get some practice with mixing and matching metals to make your outfit shine out. If you prefer casual styles such as graphic t-shirts and denim go with simple necklaces like thin chains and pendants. If you prefer the classy business look you’ll want to wear layered chains with simple hoop earrings or diamond stubs. If you’re planning on wearing a low cut dress or shirt, layered necklaces also look good with this outfit too. If you are into being bold and like larger jewelry, you’ll want to match it with simple plain or small patterned clothing to make sure there isn’t too much going on.

2. Find the Jewelry that goes with your favorite colors.

If you’re the type of person who looks ravishing is a unique color, you are going to want to find jewelry that will make your outfit stand out. Don’t worry though we can help. Here is a list of the most common colors women wear and what type of jewelry goes best with them. You can always mix and match if you want, jewelry doesn’t always have to be precise.

3. Match jewelry to your skin's undertone

There are three different types of undertones: cool, warm, and neutral. It doesn't matter how dark or light you are, because undertones are a lot different than skin tones. If you don't know what your undertone is, you can always use the color of the vein technique. To do this you will want to look at the veins on your arm If you have greenish veins you most likely have a warm undertone, if you have bluish or purplish veins you most likely have cool skin, and if you have veins that match the color of your skin you most likely have neutral skin tone. Why does this matter? Some types of jewelry look better on people with cool skin and others look better on people with warm undertones. People with warm undertones usually look better in gold jewelry or wearing jewelry with colors like yellow, orange, red, pink, salmon, green, and blues will look best on you. People with cool undertones look better with silver jewelry and jewelry with colors such as, blues, purples, and greens. If you have a cool undertone also make sure to watch out for colors like yellow and orange, because they don't go well with your skin. If you have a warmer tone try to stay away from light pastel colors light cream and peach.

4. Get jewelry to match the occasion

If you plan to go on a sexy date loose bracelets and diamond earrings will look amazing. Diamonds match with every color and style and make your whole outfit stand out from the crowd. If you plan to wear plain matte clothing this is where you can go all out with your jewelry. Big bulky necklaces look great with a simple plain dress or outfit. If you are buying jewelry for work you will want to find the best jewelry to match the style you usually wear to work. If you love wearing graphic tees go for the simple look for your jewelry.

5. Get the jewelry that speaks to you

Style is changing every day, and there's always going to be new jewelry coming in style and going out of style, don't ever go off of what the world says about fashion. Choose the jewelry that speaks to you and shows off your personality. If your outgoing and fun, try some bold jewelry with amazing colors. You will always be you no matter how the fashion trends change, so pick jewelry that shows off who you are.
